I saw this woman walking up 6th ave and my first thought was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But after I had time to reflect, I thought about how humans use accessories to make us warmer, tougher, and more appealing. Perhaps this was her attempt to do the opposite by scaring off predators.
